GAFilk 3
Tim and Annie were Interfilk guests at the con, so we kinda upped and went along.
Annie got to say 'Good Evening, America', and we got to show the USA what a Phoenix
set is like: we had 'em dancing in the aisles, so it can't have been all bad!
Special thanks from the band go to Chris 'Keris' Croughton and Rob Schoenberg, for
managing to run a PA on unfamiliar hired kit with about 6 hours to get used to it,
to Rich James for the loan of his bass guitar,
to Eloise Beltz-Decker
and Dan Glasser for permission to
use some of their photos, and to Bill Sutton and the rest of the GAFilk committee
for letting us play.
As to what the audience thought of it, here's
Steve Macdonald's
review. Thanks, Steve!
" Wow! hmmm... not enough. WOSHWOWSERITIOUS! hmmm... still not enough. Ok-
I'll try to describe it....
"These guys are incredibly flexible. *All* of them are multiple
instrumentalists; I lost track with how many different band
configurations they re-formed themselves into. They can perform
everything from gut wrenching humor to driving filk anthems that will
have you on your feet. If you ever get a chance to see them, do it!
Otherwise, I guess you'll have to make do with their recording.."
