Upgrade to 10 Blues

This needs to be sung at the top of one's voice. With abandon. With feeling. And, optionally, with a tune.

I wrote it on a training course about upgrading to the latest version of Hewlett-Packard's Unix product, HP-UX 10.

Of course, this does not represent HP's view on the subject...

I woke up dis mo'nin

Well at 3am on Tuesday
My scripts were edited just so,
It weren't 'til 3am on Tuesday

So I ran swinstall
Pointin' to the nearest depot.

Ma volume groups was rattlin'
As all that software was copied on,
It set ma volume groups a-rattlin'

For forty minutes I had ma heart in ma mouth
Starin' at de console while it carried on.

I got de blues real bad,

So now I got a system,
An' I can't find a damn thing any more;

An' making a bee-line for the door...
Leavin' that system dumpin' its core...
